Ms. Bernard has over 10 years of editorial and publishing experience.  As an Editor at PAI Consulting, she uses this experience to provide editorial support for PAI’s clients.  Ms. Bernard edits documents for readability, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style in accordance with the U.S. Government Printing Office Style Manual, PAI style, and other client style guides.  She collaborates with other editors, supervisors, and clients as needed.  Ms. Bernard also travels locally and long-distance to attend client meetings, conferences, trade shows, and other events as necessary.

Ms. Bernard’s major projects at PAI have included editing and formatting a variety of documents for numerous Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) programs, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Rulemaking (ARM), and aviation rulemaking committees.  In addition, Ms. Bernard has provided onsite FAA exemption processing support, digitized and processed historic FAA records, organized databases for presentations given to the Commercial Aviation Safety Team (CAST), and created the syllabus for an exemption training class for FAA analysts.

Previously, Ms. Bernard wrote and edited documents for publishers and organizations including Braughler Books; Agate Publishing; Highlights Magazine for Children; Open Road Integrated Media; the Peter F. Drucker Literary Works Trust; Greyden Press; Science, Naturally!; and Platypus Media.  She continues to perform freelance editing services for a number of these organizations.  In addition, she wrote book reviews and recommendations for an independent bookstore, and developed a resource manual for a nonprofit organization.  She also has received a Certificate of Editing from the University of Chicago Graham School.
